Cherokee Pie Casserole
Cherokee Pie Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1 lb. ground beef, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 1/8 tsp. thyme and 1 bay leaf, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Saute onion in olive oil.
Brown meat in sauteed onion.
Add spices, soup, tomatoes and rice.
Cook together 3 minutes.
Pour into 9 x 13 x 2-inch casserole pan.
Cut cheese diagonally and place on top.
Bake at 350Β° until cheese melts and bubbles, about 30 to 40 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Good served with green salad.
