Cheesy Grits is an easy dinner. Made with 4 c. water, 1 c. quick grits, 1/2 stick margarine, 1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded and 1/2 tsp. salt (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Stir grits and salt into briskly boiling water in a large saucepan.
Return to boil, then reduce heat and cook 2 1/2 to 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; add margarine and cheese.
Stir; let stand a few minutes until desired consistency.
