Cheesy French Bread
Cheesy French Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 8 (1-inch) slices french bread, 4 (1 oz.) slices jack cheese, 1 tbsp. fresh parsley or 2 tsp. flakes, 1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened and parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 400°.
In a small bowl, combine margarine and parsley.
Spread on 1 side of each bread slice.
Place, buttered side down, on ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan or cookie sheet.
Toast in 400° oven for 5 minutes, turning at end of 5 minutes.
Cut cheese slices into 4 squares each.
Place 2 slices on top of each bread slice.
Bake 2 to 3 minutes more or until melted. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
Yields 8 slices.
