Cheeseburger Loaf
Cheeseburger Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1 can condensed tomato soup, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 loaf french bread and 8 oz. velveeta cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In skillet, cook beef and onion until no longer pink.
Add soup and seasonings.
Simmer about 5 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, slice the top third off the bread.
Hollow out bottom half of loaf, leaving a 3/4-inch shell.
Spread butter on cut side of bread.
Place loaf on a baking sheet and broil until lightly browned, this will not take long.
Spoon beef mixture into shell.
Arrange cheese slices on top.
Broil until cheese is melted.
Replace bread top.
Cut into 2 to 3-inch slices.
