Cheese Straws
Cheese Straws is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 15 oz. extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated, 1 1/2 sticks oleo, 2 c. flour, 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder and 5 or 6 dashes tabasco sauce (to taste), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Allow cheese to room temperature. Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix with hands, the oleo and cheese.
Tabasco sauce, cayenne and flour; mix well. Press in cookie press chill and roll out thin and cut in shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300Β° for 10 minutes.
Lower oven crisp (about 10 minutes).
Makes about 120 Cheese Straws.
