Cheese Straws
Cheese Straws is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or oleo, 1 c. grated cheese, 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 1/2 c. sifted plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat oven to 375Β°.
Let butter come to room temperature. Cream butter and cheese together.
Add salt and cayenne pepper and work in flour.
Cover and chill about 1 hour.
Roll out on lightly floured board about 1/8-inch thick.
Cut in sticks with a sharp knife or pastry wheel, about 1/2-inch wide and 4-inches long.
Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen.
