Cheese Straws
Cheese Straws is an easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. extra sharp cheese, 1 stick oleo, 1 3/4 c. flour (plain), 1/8 tsp. red pepper and pinch of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Grate cheese into large bowl and let stand at room temperature until softened.
Add oleo.
Mix salt, pepper and flour.
Gradually work into cheese-butter mixture.
Blend until smooth.
Using a cookie press, squeeze out cheese straws onto ungreased baking sheets.
Cut into 2 to 3-inch lengths.
Bake for about 15 minutes until crisp and golden.
Do not allow to brown.
