Cheese Ring
Cheese Ring is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese, shredded, 1 cup chopped pecans, 3/4 to 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 medium onion, grated or finely chopped and 1 clove garlic, pressed (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Combine all ingredients except preserves and mix well.
Chill. Mold into ring.
(I coat a small jello ring mold with vegetable spray and press ingredients into that before chilling.)
When ready to serve, unmold onto serving plate, fill middle with preserves. Can be served as a complement to a main meal or as an hors d'oeuvre with crackers.
