Cream the cream cheese until smooth and blend with eggs, 2/3 cup sugar and vanilla.
Pour into pie crust.
Bake in a moderately hot oven at 370° for 20 minutes.
Remove pie from oven; cool 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine sour cream with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Carefully spread over filling.
Return pie to very hot oven at 425° and bake 10 minutes.
Cool pie, then let sit overnight before serving.
