Cheese Danish is an easy dinner. Made with 2 cans crescent rolls (i use 8 oz. can pillsbury crescent dinner rolls, 8 count), 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 3/4 c. sugar, granulated, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 egg yolk (save white), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Spray pan with Pam (disposable 12 1/4 x 8 1/4 x 1 1/2-inch aluminum pan works great).

Take 1 can of rolls and spread on bottom of pan (do not separate rolls).

Soften cream cheese and add sugar, vanilla and egg yolk.

Beat with mixer until smooth.

Spread mixture over rolls in pan.

Spread second can of rolls on top of mixture.

Beat egg white until "frothy"; brush on top of top layer of rolls.

You don't need to use all the egg white.

Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes.

Let cool before cutting.

Makes 8 servings.
