Cheese Buds is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/2 lb. butter, 2 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. red pepper and 1 egg white, slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

With mixer, blend cheese and butter.
Sift flour and pepper. Gradually work into creamed mixture with spoon.
Roll out 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into 1-inch rounds.
Brush with egg white; top with pecan half.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet in hot oven (425Β°) for 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen.
