Cheese Broccoli Soup
Cheese Broccoli Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. chopped onion, 3 tbsp. margarine, 2 tbsp. flour, 2 c. milk and 1 (6 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In 3-quart saucepan (glass casserole if cooking in microwave), cook onion in margarine until tender.
Add flour and milk.
Stir over medium heat until mixture thickens.
Add cream cheese and Velveeta cheese slowly, stirring until cheese is melted.
Add remaining ingredients.
Heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally. Makes 5 (1 to 1 1/2 cup) servings.
