Cheese Blitzes
Cheese Blitzes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (1 lb.) sandwich loaves of bread, 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Remove crusts from bread and roll each slice flat with rolling pin.
Mix rest of ingredients; spread on slices and roll.
Cut each roll in half.
Melt 2 sticks of butter or margarine.
Roll rolls in butter and then in a mixture of 1 cup sugar and 4 teaspoons cinnamon.
Freeze at this point, if desired, on cookie sheet and then store in freezer bag.
Remove when ready touse and bake at 400Β° for 15 minutes.
