Cheese Blitz is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 loaf white bread, trim crusts off, 8 oz. cream cheese (soft), 1 egg, 1/4 c. sugar and 1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Roll each piece of bread with a rolling pin.

Mix together cream cheese, egg, almond and sugar.

Spread on each slice, then roll up.

Pour some of the melted margarine onto a small plate. Roll each slice in the margarine and then in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.

Cut into halves or thirds.

Can be frozen for later use. Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.

Makes 50 to 75, depending on how they are cut.
