Chalupas
Chalupas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 large onions, chopped, 6 garlic cloves, minced, 1 (no. 2) can tomatoes, 1 can chopped green chilies and 1 lb. velveeta cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Saute onions in oil until clear.
Add garlic, tomatoes and chilies; cook slowly 2 hours.
Add cheese.
When melted and real hot, stir in whipping cream. Serve on tortillas that have been fried a short time in oil or cooked over steam.
May also use sauce as dip.
Serves 4 to 6.
