Cevapici
Cevapici is an easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground lamb (preferably shoulder or flank), salt and pepper to taste, 6 rounds pita bread, cut in half and 1 to 2 large onions, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Season ground lamb with salt and pepper to taste. Shape meat into cylinders 1 1/2 to 2-inches long. Refrigerate overnight. Cook meat on charcoal or wood grill, turning until done. Toast pita rounds until slightly brown but still flexible. Fill each half with meat.
Top with chopped onion.
Makes 12 pita pockets.
