Cecilia's Flour Tortilla
Cecilia'S Flour Tortilla is an easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 4 to 6 tbsp. vegetable shortening (crisco) and 1 1/4 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut in the shortening.
Add warm water a little at a time until dough is soft and sticky.
Knead the dough for a few minutes. Pull off pieces of the dough to form about 12 small balls. Let them rest for about 10 minutes.
It is a good idea to dust each ball (as well as your working surface) with a little flour just before you roll them out.
