Carrot Nut Cake
Carrot Nut Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. oil, 2 c. molasses, 4 eggs, separated, 2 1/2 c. flour, sifted and 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix oil and molasses together.
Beat in egg yolks one at a time.
Continue beating and add 5 tablespoons hot water.
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices.
Add to the egg mixture.
Combine the orange zest, carrots and nuts together; stir into batter.
Beat the egg whites until they stand in stiff peaks; fold in.
Bake at 350Β° for 60 to 70 minutes.
