Carmelitas
Carmelitas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. quaker quick oats, 1 1/2 c. flour, 3/4 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. butter flavor crisco, melted and 1 tbsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine first 7 ingredients.
Reserve 1 cup.
Press remaining mixture onto bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown.
Cool 10 minutes.
Top with nuts and chocolate pieces.
Mix caramel topping and 1/4 cup flour until smooth.
Drizzle over chocolate pieces to within 1/4-inch of edges.
Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely.
