Caramels
Caramels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 lb. brown sugar (2 1/2 c.), dash of salt, 1 c. light karo and 1 can eagle brand milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt butter in heavy 3-quart pan.
Add sugar and salt and stir.
Stir in Karo and mix well.
Gradually add Eagle Brand milk; stir constantly.
Cook to 245Β°.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour into 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan; cool and cut.
