Caramels
Caramels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter (not margarine), 2 1/4 c. brown sugar, 1/8 tsp. salt, 1 c. light corn syrup and 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Melt butter; add sugar and salt.
Blend in syrup and gradually add milk.
Stir constantly over medium heat for 20 minutes, being sure not to let temperature get over 245Β° (use candy thermometer). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and pecans.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch glass pan.
Score before totally cooled.
