Caramels
Caramels is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. butter, 1 c. dark corn syrup, 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Bring sugar, butter and corn syrup to boil in saucepan, stirring, then boil 4 minutes without stirring.
Remove pan from heat.
Add sweetened condensed milk; mix well.
Return pan to heat; cook at medium-low boil for 30 minutes, or until mixture reaches 238Β° on candy thermometer, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour into buttered 9-inch square pan.
Cool in pan 2 hours.
Remove from pan; cut into 1-inch pieces with very sharp serrated knife.
Wrap each piece in wax paper.
Makes approximately 40 caramels.
