Caramels
Caramels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter, 2 c. corn syrup, 2 c. sugar, 2 15 oz. cans sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt butter.
Add corn syrup and sugar.
Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add 1 1/2 cans of sweetened condensed milk. Mix flour with remaining 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk.
Add to sugar mixture.
Boil until hard boil, 255 degrees on a candy thermometer, stirring constantly.
Add vanilla and pour into buttered dish (15 x 10 x 2).
Let cool then cut into 1 inch squares and wrap individually.
