Caramel Turtle Cake
Caramel Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 regular size german chocolate cake mix, 1/2 c. margarine, 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels, 1/3 c. milk and 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Melt margarine, caramels and milk together; set aside.
Mix cake mix according to directions.
Pour 1/2 the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Pour the caramel mixture over the top.
Spread chocolate chips and nuts over the top of caramel mixture.
Pour the other 1/2 of the batter over the top.
Bake for 20 minutes at 250°, then for 10 minutes at 350°.
