Caramel Snappers
Caramel Snappers is an easy dinner. Made with 144 small pecan halves (about 1 c.), 36 light caramels and 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted in top of double boiler, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Grease cookie sheet.
On it arrange pecans flat side down into groups of 4.
Place 1 caramel on each cluster of pecans.
Heat in slow oven (325Β°) until caramels soften, about 4 to 8 minutes. Watch carefully.
Remove from oven.
With buttered spatula, flatten caramels over pecans.
Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to waxed paper.
Swirl melted chocolate on top.
Makes 36 Snappers.
