Caramel Icing
Caramel Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. brown sugar, 1 c. milk, 3 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix brown sugar and milk.
Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then boil without stirring to the soft-ball stage (238Β° on candy thermometer).
Add butter.
Remove the icing until it is thick and creamy.
If the icing becomes too thick, thin it with a little cream.
Makes enough to frost 2 (9-inch) layers.
