Caramel Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. brown sugar, packed, 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. milk, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix together all ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan.
Bring to a rapid boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and beat with mixer on high until thick enough to spread.
It takes quite a while to beat.
