Caramel Fudge
Caramel Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. margarine, 2 c. packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. evaporated milk, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 c. chopped walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Melt butter; add brown sugar and cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add milk and cook to boil.
Remove from heat; cool until lukewarm.
Stir in vanilla.
Gradually add powdered sugar, beating vigorously until mixture firms (about 2 minutes).
Stir in nuts.
Spread into 8 x 8 x 2-inch buttered pan and chill.
Cut into squares.
Makes 3 dozen pieces.
