Caramel Custard Pie
Caramel Custard Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk, 2 eggs, 1 c. brown sugar, 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour and 2 tbsp. margarine or butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Add enough water to evaporated milk to make 2 cups. Beat in eggs. Combine brown sugar and flour. Cut in margarine until mixture is like coarse crumbs. Add milk mixture to brown sugar mixture. Beat until well blended.
Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 400Β° until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 30 minutes.
