In a saucepan, combine oleo, sugar and syrup; boil 5 minutes. Add cream of tartar.
Stir in soda.
Pour over popcorn.
Mix well. Pour coated popcorn into a buttered pan.
Bake at 200Β° for 1 hour.
Stir every 15 minutes.
Great for a snack.
