Caramel Corn
Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/3 c. popcorn, unpopped, 1/2 c. white corn syrup, 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 c. margarine and 2 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Preheat oven to 250Β°.
Pop popcorn without butter or oil.
It needs to be dry.
Mix together margarine, corn syrup, brown sugar and cream of tartar.
Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and immediately stir in baking soda, stirring well.
This will foam up.
Pour over popcorn and mix well. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Cool on waxed paper and store in airtight container.
Yields 15 servings.
Preparation time is 75 minutes.
