In saucepan, mix butter, Karo, sugar, salt and vanilla.
Boil for 5 minutes. Add soda.
Pour caramel sauce over popped corn and stir.
Place into 3 large pans and bake at 250Β° for 1 hour, stirring several times. Store in airtight container.
Yields 8 quarts.
