Caramel Corn
Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 bag already-popped buttered popcorn, 2 sticks margarine, 2 c. brown sugar or 2 c. pancake syrup, 1/2 c. white corn syrup and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In 2-quart saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat.
Stir in brown sugar and Karo.
Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla, then baking soda.
Pour to coat over small amounts of popcorn.
Place in greased 13 x 9-inch pan and bake for 1 hour at 250Β°.
Stir every 15 minutes.
Store in an airtight container for freshness.
Children love to help pour the popcorn and stir the coating.
