Caramel Corn

Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cream of tartar in saucepan.
Boil 5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in soda.
Pour over popcorn and mix well.
Put on cookie sheet and bake at 250Β° for one hour.
Stir every 15 minutes.
Cool on wax paper.
