Caramel Candy
Caramel Candy is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2 c. white karo syrup, 1/2 c. butter (not oleo), 1 lg. can evaporated milk and dash of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
👨🍳 Instructions
Mix sugar, syrup and salt.
Boil until it spins a thread (232°).
Reduce heat a little.
Add butter and milk in small portions, alternating, beginning and ending with butter.
Cook until it reaches 245°.
Stir all the time with a wooden spoon. Takes about an hour.
Pour into buttered 9 X 13 dish to cool (overnight is better).
