Caramel Cake

Preheat oven to 350Β°. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Alternately add flour mixture and sour cream to butter mixture.
Grease and lightly flour 6 (9-inch) pans.
Pour in batter and bake 25 to 35 minutes or until done.
Remove from oven and cool on racks for 10 minutes.
Cool cake completely before frosting.
