Caramel Bars
Caramel Bars is an easy dinner. Made with soda crackers, 1 c. brown sugar, tightly packed, 1/2 lb. butter or oleo (2 sticks), 12 oz. chocolate chips and finely chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Line jelly roll pan with foil.
Line bottom of pan with soda crackers.
Boil together for 3 minutes the brown sugar and butter or oleo.
Spread over crackers evenly.
Bake in 400Β° oven for 5 minutes.
Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Allow to melt completely.
Spread over top and sprinkle with finely chopped pecans.
Cut or break apart.
