Caramel Bars
Caramel Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 bag kraft caramels, 8 tbsp. evaporated milk, 1 c. flour, 1 c. quick oats and 3/4 c. light brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Melt caramels and evaporated milk.
Mix together flour, quick oats, light brown sugar, baking soda, salt and butter.
In a 9 x 9-inch baking pan, spread 3/4 of the crumb mixture.
Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
Right out of the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over hot crumb mixture, then pour melted caramel over chocolate chips.
Sprinkle rest of crumb mixture on top.
Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
Let cool in pan, then refrigerate overnight, then re-cut and remove from pan.
