Candy Strawberries
Candy Strawberries is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavor gelatin, 1 c. ground pecans, 1 c. ground coconut, 3/4 c. sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix together gelatin, pecans, coconut, condensed (not evaporated) milk and vanilla.
Shape mixture into strawberries. Chill at least one hour.
Roll chilled berries in sugar crystals. Add food coloring to almonds to tint a delicate green.
Use for leaves and stems of berries.
Store in cool place.
Makes about 48 strawberries, depending on size, or 1 pound 3 ounces.
