Candy Canes
Candy Canes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/4 c. sifted flour, 4 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1 stick butter and 1 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl.
Beat in egg and extract.
Add flour mixture alternately with milk.
Spoon half of dough into another bowl and tint pink.
Pinch off a teaspoon of each dough.
Roll each into pencil thin strips about 5 inches long. Place side by side and pinch ends together.
Twist and place on ungreased cookie sheets, bending into cane shape.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
