Sift dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.
Add brown sugar, shortening, eggs, fruit cocktail (with juice) and cherry pie filling.
Mix and pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle walnuts and chocolate chips on top of batter.
Bake for 40 minutes at 350Β°. After baking, sprinkle with desired amount of powdered sugar.
