Cake Mix
Cake Mix is an easy dinner. Made with 2 3/4 lb. flour, 1/3 c. baking soda, 1 tbsp. salt, 8 c. granulated sugar and 3 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Stir flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large pan.
(A dishpan is good.)
Sift 3 times.
Cut in shortening with a pastry blender, fingertips, or a detachable mixer at low speed. (Shortening must be blended uniformly.)
Store in covered container at room temperature.
