Melt milk chocolate and cocoa butter gently until smooth.
Stir in salt, vanilla, and a little powdered sugar only if the chocolate needs sweetness.
Pipe small round drops onto parchment, leaving space between them.
Tap the tray so each button settles into a smooth disk.
Chill until set and store the buttons in an airtight tin.
