Cabbage Casserole
Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium head cabbage, shredded (if desired), 1 onion, chopped, 5 tbsp. butter, 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) and 8 oz. process american cheese, cubed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook cabbage in boiling salt water until tender; drain thoroughly.
In a large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.
Add soup and mix well.
Add cheese; heat and stir until melted.
Remove from heat.
Stir in cabbage, salt and pepper. Transfer to an ungreased 2-quart baking dish.
Sprinkle Durkee onions on top.
Bake, uncovered, 20 to 30 minutes at 350Β° or until heated through.
