Cabbage Casserole
Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head cabbage, shredded coarse, 1 1/2 c. water, 4 tbsp. flour or cornstarch, 4 tbsp. butter/margarine and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cook cabbage in water 8 minutes and then drain.
Stir into the cooked cabbage the flour or cornstarch, butter/margarine, milk and Velveeta cheese cubes.
Pour into deep casserole dish.
Top with bread or cracker crumbs, crushed fine.
Bake 30 minutes at 350Β°.
If it appears to be too thin, you can cook it a little longer.
It will thicken as it cools down a little.
Serve it warm.
