Butterscotch Pie
Butterscotch Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. flour and 1 tbsp. cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Moisten dry ingredients with part milk.
Add to remaining milk and cook about 8 minutes.
Blend in beaten egg yolks and butter. When well blended and thickened, add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Cool and place in baked crust.
Add meringue made of egg whites, confectioners sugar and vanilla.
Place on top of pie with fork to form peaks.
Bake meringue in slow oven until browned.
