Butterscotch Crackles
Butterscotch Crackles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. regular sugar, 2 sticks margarine, melted, 1 egg (unbeaten) and 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream together sugars and margarine; add egg and vanilla.
Set aside.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt and add nuts.
Add to first mixture.
Roll into balls and roll in sugars (don't flatten).
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 325Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
These cookies will be flat and cracked.
