Butternut Pound Cake
Butternut Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. crisco shortening, 1 small can milk (add water to make 1 c.), 2 sticks margarine, 2 tbsp. vanilla butternut flavoring and 3 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream shortening, margarine, sugar and salt; add eggs one at a time.
Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour.
Fold in flavoring by hand.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Do not open door while baking.
Remove from pan immediately.
Set oven temperature at 325Β°.
Do not preheat oven.
Start in cold oven.
