Buttermilk Cinnamon Bread
Buttermilk Cinnamon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. all-purpose flour, 2 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. vegetable oil and 2 1/2 c. sugar, divided, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a small bowl combine oil and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
Add buttermilk and eggs; mix well.
Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
Fill two greased 8 x 4 x 2-inch or five 5 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pans about 1/3 full.
Combine cinnamon and remaining sugar; sprinkle half over the batter.
Top with remaining batter and cinnamon-sugar.
Swirl batter with a knife.
Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
Yield
