Combine flour, soda, salt and cornstarch.

Put into large mixer bowl the Crisco, sugar, eggs, vanilla and lemon juice and beat 2 1/2 minutes.

Add sifted flour mixture alternately with 1 cup buttermilk.

Beat about 2 1/2 minutes.

Pour batter into greased tube pan and bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
